Inspired by Star Trek to become a lawyer Erin found that helping people stay out of court was where she wanted to focus her energy after becoming a lawyer.

Erin Edgar worked as a law clerk and attorney for Legal Aid of North Carolina for 11 years before starting her own law firm, The Law Office of Erin Baker Edgar, in 2021.   She loves helping busy families organize their lives, protect and enrich the lives of their children, and provide for and protect themselves for end of life through the service of estate planning, giving them peace of mind for the future.

Erin is licensed to practice law by the North Carolina State Bar. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, Business Networking International, Toastmasters International, and a number of other professional networking groups and organizations. She spreads her message by speaking to networking groups and service organizations about how estate planning with the guidance of an attorney can help people attain peace of mind about the future and improve their lives. 

She lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with her husband. When she is not working, she enjoys performing and writing music, spreading the art of mindfulness and meditation to bring calmness and clarity to life’s chaos, and birdwatching.
